As your birthday is fast approaching, today may be the day you begin to ponder how you want to shape your future. You may feel excited about your plans and dreams or excited about the chance to start anew. You can make the most of your attitude by visualizing what you want out of life. Consider where you are now versus where youÂd like to be, and ask yourself how you can make that happen. Imagining the vivid details of your dream life can make you feel optimistic and happy. As you think about the future, let your musings solidify into the beginning of a plan. The fantasies you have today could contribute in a very real way to the success you achieve in the coming year.
Because all success begins in the mind, visualization can be a potent way to call your dreams into being. When you look ahead with an optimistic eye, you create a mind-set that your goals are attainable. Because you are undaunted by fears of failure, you are more likely to put yourself into situations where opportunities will come your way. You also emanate a magnetism that draws blessings into your life. You can create what you want by picturing both the grand and minor details involved in the creation of your dream life. Your brain will accept your mental musings as truth. Visualize the life of your dreams in detail today, and prepare yourself for a wonderful year.
I've been thinking about this a lot lately, and one of the questions that keeps coming up is: "But will it make me a happier person? Will it be just a temporary happiness?" I've been trying to have a positive attitude about trying new things, and it has helped me relax most of the time. I've also had more enthusiasm about getting littleerrandss done; now I need to do the same for the bigerrandss. I've been waiting to turn this age all of my life and it's a little intimidating because this is the year that I wanted to see a lot of my goals come together. Oddly enough, I think most of them are. The last seven years alone have been truly amazing. Becoming an adult, learning to liveindependentlyy, getting married, succeeding in life, but still finding that something is missing. Most people feel this way, and I think some of them get along just by doing what they need to. But I don't want to live in a routine. I want to learn and explore more. I'm an ace when it comes to holding myself back and drowning myself with fear. It's time for a change and not a temporary one. One that will take work. One that will be hard and will take lots of discipline, but a change that I will look forward to everyday. I've heard people say that they don't want to live the same day twice. Why would anyone? When I'm sitting in my wheelchair at a mediocre retirement home, I want to be able to have some glint at a past that would be fun to retell my nurse or passing strangers. Of course, by that time I might be in such a state that I remember my life as a trapieze artist better than my current one. But I digress. Every day should be a memorable one, not just okay.

"Never be afraid to laugh at yourself, after all, you could be missing out on the joke of the century." - Dame Edna EverageThis little gem was waiting for me on my Google front page. Miss Dame Edna. The epitome of everything prim and proper, and all that comes in between. ;) She has a flare for life rarely seen. I hope that translated well possums. Dame Edna has been a long-time role model of mine. It might have started when she locked Mel Gibson up in her sauna or got Charlton Heston (or Chuck as she calls him) to be her little kitchen boy. The next bit is taken directly from her remarkable web site.
Possibly Jewish, Dame Edna is a widow, with three grown children. She spends her time visiting world leaders and jet-setting between her homes in Los Angeles, London, Sydney, Switzerland and Martha’s Vineyard. She is the Founder and Governor of Friends of the Prostate and the creator of The World Prostate Olympics.

Every once in a while I like to see what products Amazon suggests I buy. Today I clicked on the Beauty section and was startled to find...the Breath Palette!
I want my breath to smell different every day. Monkey Banana, Sweet Salt, and Pumpkin Pudding sound wonderful! Or rose! LAVENDER! OH MY GOSH THEY HAVE LAVENDER!!! And for only $5.00 a tube too!
Amazon also wants me to sing because they are suggesting wonderful microphones and karaoke games for me to practise with at home.Labels: gift idea, the internet, wish list

Holocaust denier: prosecutors Last Updated Tue, 21 Feb 2006 11:54:03 EST CBC NewsAustrian prosecutors want British historian David Irving to spend more time in prison, saying his three-year sentence for denying the Holocaust is too lenient. Irving could have been sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty on Monday to charges of denying the Holocaust. Under Austrian law, it is a crime to publicly diminish, deny or justify the Holocaust. Convicted holocaust denier David Irving carries his book Hitler's War arrives at court in Vienna on Monday. (AP Photo/Hans Punz) "The public prosecutor believes the ruling was too lenient in light of a possible sentence of up to 10 years and Irving's special importance to right-wing radicals," said Walter Geyer, spokesman for the public prosecutor's office in Vienna. Irving, 68, told the court on Monday he was wrong in contending there were no Nazi gas chambers during the Second World War. Irving, who has written close to 30 books, was arrested in November 1989 after he denied in speeches in Austria that the Nazis killed six million Jews. He had contended most of the Jews who died during the war succumbed to diseases such as typhus. Austria's Justice Ministry says there were 158 convictions between 1999 and 2004. GRAVETTE — Excited screams of "Oh, look. There he is!" echoed on Main Street in Gravette on Wednesday night at a watch party for "American Idol" hopeful Patrick Hall. The 27-year-old singer has made the Top 24 on his way to becoming the next Idol.
Party organizers Rodger Terrell, director of Gravette city services, and Chris Brandon, a longtime friend and business associate of Hall’s, hosted the party at the Gravette Towne Centre at 109 Main Street. Ironically, the building is owned by Hall. Three separate TVs were surrounded by the enthusiastic watchers. A sign near the popcorn machine declared, "Go Patrick." Soft drinks and snacks were available, and the hometown folks were clearly confident that Hall would move to the next level of competition.
First to arrive at the watch party were Vicky Johnston and her 19-year-old daughter Tabitha Johnston. "We’re here to support one of our own," Vicky Johnston said. "Things like this watch party keep our hometown alive. I wanted to be here. Patrick is doing a lot by redoing a lot of the buildings in downtown Gravette. I appreciate that and I’m a big fan of his. That’s why I came to this party tonight."
Brandon said he believes Hall will go a long way and could easily become the new American Idol. "He’s so gifted," Brandon explained. "Besides singing, Patrick is a wonderful pianist and songwriter. He’s just really good."
Hall’s wife, Laura, agreed. "We were married last July 4 th," she said. "I have signed an agreement with the show that I won’t discuss anything about his appearances, but I can tell you that I’m very, very proud of him. This is great to have so many people cheering for him."
Hall’s sister Caroline Martinez said she, of course, was proud, too. "He’s been singing since he could talk," Martinez said, smiling. "He’s a good singer, songwriter and an accomplished pianist. I’m so glad America will get to see the talent we’ve seen Patrick’s whole life."
Hall’s dad, Billy Hall, M. D., shook hands with just about everyone at the watch party and accepted all the good wishes on behalf of his son.
Janell Hendren Edwards is another of Hall’s friends. Also a singer, she and Hall have often entertained audiences together. "We’ve been friends since childhood," Edwards said. "I’m a little older and Patrick was always like a little brother to me. We really began performing together at local venues in 2002. We recorded a demo in Nashville and sang together over a year and a half. I’m so proud of him and happy for him. I’ll be watching the show because I feel sure he’ll really shine."
Mitchell Wilber, Hall’s junior high school principal, was in the crowd. "Oh, Patrick was just a wonderful student," Wilber said. "He received the highest honors in school and is just a good, good citizen."
Carrying a gorgeous, homemade cake in front of her, Deeree Mitchell said she made it in honor of Hall. "He and my husband, Gib, have been friends forever," Mitchell said. "We called Patrick (Wednesday) morning, and told him we would be at his watch party.... I let him know I was baking him a cake."
Another watch party is scheduled for Feb. 23. Twelve men and 12 women have made it to the next level of competition. Hall will compete with the remaining men during a two-hour episode Wednesday. The show begins at 7 p.m. on FOX, and the public will begin voting for their favorite performer. During the watch party Thursday, four contestants — two men and two women — will be eliminated. Only 20 will continue, vying for the title.
The first live "American Idol" results will be revealed during the show at the watch party. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. at the Gravette Towne Centre, 109 Main St. S. E. in downtown Gravette.
Wherever a new disagreement emerges, so does new hope for enlightenment, on both sides of the fence.

Lucky bastards ;) Jenny now has a public blog. Yes, thee Jenny. The one with the Anakin complex. If you like to talk physics, then go see her. She has some good stories too from her younger days, just ask her about the purple ping pong balls. Turn Ons: Bam Margera, snowboarding and angry white boy music. Turn Offs: Lambs. Did I mention that she controls the weather? Fear her at Nessun 'Anima. Ten points if you even fathom what that means.Labels: bloggers
Was there anything else to the Corpse Bride Emily? She seemed like such a shell, such a...er...corpse. Obsessed with marriage, oh and she could play the piano. As is typical with a lot of kid's movies you have the nice, simple plot. But it might have been too simple for this. There didn't seem to be any room to really explore the characters. If you feel angsty enough, go here and right a poem about it.
It really needed a bit more squid.
It's St. Valentine's Day (or Sugar High Day for the rest of us)!!! So I wish to dedicate this post to someone very special. You can call him by many names (some I cannot share in public), but I'm sure you can imagine....

The service will effectively mean that emailers that pay the fee will have their messages tagged as if they were "special delivery" emails. And those who pay will be more likely to see their messages get through to the intended recipient than those who choose the fee free option. The Yahoo and AOL fees, which would cost up to one US cent per email, are the latest attempts to weed out unsolicited ads, commonly called spam, and identity theft scams. The senders must promise to contact only people who have agreed to receive their messages, or risk being blocked entirely.

Tried to make a Greek salad today. I ate it. I blame Glenn's sickness for the reason why he didn't like his. Although, the margaritas I made to go with tonight's fajitas were wonderful!!! It's also nice to see some fresh carnations in a vase too!
And now, I study.
