I'm not sure what was going on with me yesterday. Possibly a sugar imbalance. Perhaps this quote from "Defending Your Life" describes it best.

The link on yesterday's post has been fixed. That song is very much in my head. It has almost pushed out that one horrible, yet horribly funny, engrish song (track number one here since it was left off of the soundtrack) from "Lost in Translation" that was heard at Club Orange.

I love wet umbrellas. I love it even more that I typed out forty poems that I wrote so many years ago into book form. Yes, I rolled my eyes more than once. Now the editing can begin! Sorry, no samples yet. Although, I'm hoping that this weekend will bring a couple more postcards so that I can take pictures of them and post here. I got a beautiful watercolor last night.
That reminds me...Halloween is approaching! I'm almost considering dressing up as a giant rabbit. Anyone want to take a gander as to why? (Clue: BTVS)

July 2007 American McGee's 'Alice' will come out in theatres. Sarah Michelle Geller, a.k.a. Buffy, will be playing Alice. I hope Mr. Pointy makes an appearance.... My Babies

I found some thing. Well, some things. They are made of one long continuous string. And are to be worn around the neck. To me, that means they can be turned into decorations, Halloween ornaments, computer monitor decorations. Or, if your like me, put them in a curio cabinet and refer to them as your babies when you're a little old lady. May I present STRING DOLLS! Here is little Iron Davey!

• STORMY WEATHER!!! Ah...it brings a song to my heart.
• At the restaurant last night, the server brought me an entire box of tea to choose from and then I happily drank four cups of spledid Earl Grey!
• Filling up the candy bowl at work.
• Seeing the old tile on the kitchen floor.
• Discovering a whole aray of stupidly fun crap on Amazon! (Posts later ;) )
• Pretty Princess Cakes.
• Feeling the need to cover the world in stickers and fake mustaches.

I have urges.

• Sometimes to rearrange all of the furnitue in the room just to accomodate one more bookshelf.
• To read the entire archive of one web comic within a two day period.
• Waste an entire roll of film on pictures of my feet.

• Eat an entire tub of ice cream while I wait for my french fries to finish baking.

Every year, in the throws of depression because Halloween is over -- not to mention the major sugar crash -- I start to wonder why it is that Thanksgiving isn't my favorite holiday. It's the perfect 'stress' holiday because all you do is visit with people AND EAT!!! One of the best things about Thanksgiving is that you can convince people that your mother's Green Bean Casserole is the best...which it is ;). I think I even found a new favorite dessert recipe. Now...all I have left to do is try it out on some starving victims. PUMPKIN CHEESECAKE! Anya is so brutal.

Halloween Buffy

#2 Halloween. From this episode on everyone makes sure to wear a costume that they can slay in.

#3 Fear Itself. Here we discover how terrifying a bunny can be.

#4 Buffy vs Dracula. Pretty self explanatary. It's hilarious. Everything you could want from a weak minded Xander. :)
#5 Tabula Rasa. It's a mixed up Buffy episode of fun and skeletons. Below is where they fall asleep and they wake up with their memories erased.

It will be here next week and I could not be more excited! I have loved this musical ever since I was a little girl. Now I will get to annoy everyone with it! Dear Sophie, Thank you for not killing Glenn and I in our sleep. I realized that you were still a bit timid after the tumultuous thunder storm that lasted all night, and well into the morning, Friday night. But, frankly, we thought that you could benefit from it. And you were quite good during the whole ordeal. I tried to make it better by NOT taking a picture of you, although you did look quite cute, all wet and soapy. I couldn't understand though why you waited until we had you wrapped up in a towel to start wailing. I guess the nail clippers were the last thing you wanted to see after being shampooed. I was quite surprised though that you started to rub against me twenty minutes later. Yes, I thought it was a ploy, worried that there might be an 'accident' that night while we slept. But no, you stayed a good little kitty. I wasn't too surprised when you brought us your toy at 4am this morning. I guess if we are awake enough to give the toilet our attention then we are awake enough for you. Love, Col Tara plans.

Watching television is not going to help us right now.

Let's make one thing clear: I don't watch the news. It's depressing. I'm not saying that news reports should all be about puppies and kitties, but it's unnerving how reporters can talk about murder or the new fear while smiling. I typically get informed by searching thru different news sites on the web. I figure that if I read five reports on the same story, that I will be able to make my own opinion. Fox news , 'a central hub of the conservative movement's well-oiled media machine', reminds me of the TV station in V for Vendetta. Last night Bill Clinton was interviewed by Chris Wallace about his global agenda. It got off-topic when Chris mentions e-mails he received from viewers when they heard that Clinton would be on his show. They wanted to know why Clinton didn't do anything about Osama Bin Laden during his presidency. Notice the body language, notice how Clinton still keeps the atmosphere light, notice how Clinton also doesn't just brush off the question, but gives an informed answer. One thing that I always admire for any politician or celebrity is when they can answer a question. Not just give a flippant answer or throw out an accusation. In any interview of Clinton that I have seen, he has always given an informed answer. I think I might watch these videos again and take notes to catch the names of the books being thrown around. Giles and his secret vice.

Wondering why we never get dates.

I have been discriminated against for my tastes in music. As it was said to me this morning, "Why can't you just be normal?" For example, at one time I attempted to start a radio on Live365, and all it would play are songs from the Buffy musical, Weird Al and any and all songs I could get from Pirates of Penzance. I think that it explains a lot about my personality. And now we have legitimate research to prove what kind of a person I am. This study involved letting thousands of brits take this survey to figure out if their are any links between their music tastes and their lifestyle. Turns out they were right!

One "clear pattern" to emerge was a clustering of antisocial tendencies among young fans of pop, rap, and rock. For example, 53% of hip-hop fans admitted to having committed a criminal act, compared to 18% of fans of musicals.

Last night was hectic and quite...forgetful. We were needing some of the little things. So, I went to Wal-greens, purchased said little things, drove home, then discovered late that night that one of those little things never made it to my car after I paid for it. What's easier than sliced bread? Forgetting to take the bag. Felt like an even bigger mook this morning when I noticed all of my neighbors had their garbage cans and recycling bins out. Yup, too late to take mine to the curb. But know what made up for it all? Sophie. Last night she discovered a new trick. I was sitting in the living room, watching 'Buffy vs. Dracula' (an uber-sode) when Glenn shouted out, "Aw, Col look!" I look up just in time to see my little kitten Sophie perform her most adorable feat yet. It was brilliant. Cute. Wonderful. Sweet. And just plain, awwwwwww. She learned how to bring her toy to me. And not just a little mouse toy. Oh no. This was her two foot long feather on a stick toy. That she dragged from one end of the house to the other. How could I resist? And know what was better than that? When I woke up this morning, Sophie jumped down from the bed and a few minutes later she reappeared. And guess what she had with her? Yup. She dragged her toy from the living room, around the corner, thru the door, and jumped up onto the bed with her feather toy. Cutest. Thing. Ever. I wish I had it all on video. Insurance, you know, in case we get turned into our costumes again.

I'm on a mailing list for Halloween costumes. There are all sorts, but I've never thought of going as Twister. Maybe there is a twenty-sided dice costume out there. Better yet, why not go as a monster from one of the Munchking cards? Xander playing it safe for Halloween.

The bamboo grows like vinegar on my salad flying upward to forgive her. How are you celebrating this week? Celebrating what? You could start with Bamboo Day, or Vinegar Day, then Poet's Day and Southern Hemisphere Hoodie Hoo Day. Be An Angel Day sounds like a great day to dress up in wings. National! Punctuation! Day! could be fun on paper. Kiss and Make-up Day sounds tiring. So all us gals should go out on Women's Equality Day. Perhaps you would rather celebrate days of taste. If all of these days were true capitalist holidays, then Anya would be on speed.
