This outfit would be perfect for my elf, Rhianna, in Dragon Crest. See...she's a furrier and a rogue. Doesn't it just scream "Rich Little Pelter?" Fiona Apple has also grabbed my heard today thank you to Miss Kendra.

Cibo Matto can clog dance?

Yet another reason to love Wikipedia: they have a list of lists. I discovered it while attempting to add more girl bands to my radio blog playlist.

And for the record, I am avoiding drama queens. But that won't prevent me from playing one.

Willow and sarcasm.

Well, personally, I kind of want to slay the dragon.

Please note: all DC info is OOG! If you take it IG, then you are a dirty metagamer. The comic below is representative to what happened this weekend in Kansas. >:) We had a great time, even if we did wake up at 4am to drive thru the OK. I do believe that I frightened a few people when my husband died, lucky for them a certain healer magically re-appeared and saved him. Although one of the best parts of the weekend was when I got to choose what kind of a pet to play as an NPC. The goblin children kept some very odd pets, although they were quite well-trained. I ended up choosing a guinea pig with butterfly wings and a rooster tail. I sat, I rolled over, I played fetch, and could still beat the crap out of people. One tribie wanted to take me home. :D I felt special. Today's quote (and Glenn's favorite) was said by Angel.

What I actually did this weekend

Glenn has been sick all week. Turns out that he had a virus, and I stayed home Friday to take care of him. At 5am he had a temperature of 101.5 and it got up to 102 by the time he saw the doctor that morning. I dumped him on the couch then tore off to fill his presciption and pick up more water. He drank about 24 bottles of water by himself this week and still couldn't stay hydrated. By that afternoon his fever broke, but he's still hasn't gotten back to normal. We were supposed to go to Kansas this weekend for a Dragon Crest event, but when I came home Thursday to find him sprawled out on the couch with used tissues all around, it was kind of obvious that we would be staying home. I did find some time between playing nurse and maid (four loads of laundry, mopping, vaccuuming, dishes, wal-marting, fan cleaning, etc.) to go out and get two wonderful cd's. Pearl Jam's TEN and Elton John's BEST OF. Couldn't beat getting the EJ 2-for-1 cd either. Lately I've been looking up cd's on amazon and if I can find them locally for the same price (including shipping) then I just get them here. I also found time to update a whole bunch of pictures onto photobucket. (Of course I'm not giving you a link! Do you think I want everyone to see a picture of me taking a bath in a sink?!) Image hosting by Photobucket Tried to make a Greek salad today. I ate it. I blame Glenn's sickness for the reason why he didn't like his. Although, the margaritas I made to go with tonight's fajitas were wonderful!!! It's also nice to see some fresh carnations in a vase too! And now, I study.

Although...

Personally...my style of fighting is to refer to an orc as a giant green boggie and let him send his troops after me...but that's another story.

You scored as Special Ops. Special ops. You're sneaky,

tactful, and a loner. You prefer to do your jobs alone,

working where you don't come into contact with people.

But everyonce in a while you hit it big and are noticed and

given fame. Your given the more sensitive problems. You

get things done, and do what has to be done. "VULCAN NECK PINCH!!!" "owww.......(slump)"

Weekend Adventures

This weekend we beat the hell out of the bad guy, and only froze on Friday night. But the best part of all: we had hot chocolate.

Signs I Have Been LARPing for Too Long

The other day I saw that a squirrel had been run over. It must have been sitting out on the road for some time. His pelt was kinda damage, but the tail was still fluffy. My first thought was: 'I could probably get a copper for that.' Then I shook my head, and walked away.

We Stole This Guy's Submarine!

Remember when I told you about the Great Hippie Vacation? Well, he stopped by our Dragon Crest even this weekend for a photo shoot. You can check out the pictures here. My husband is the one carrying Cody on the left. Isn't he cute? I took some pictures that will be developed & posted later this week. Word is picking up on this guy. The trip might even be filmed. MTV is supposedly trying to get in on it for a series.

The Ultimate Hippie Vacation

I know this person's neighbor. Read the story.
Yes, it is a real e-bay auction. Looks like you are also bidding on a road trip.

The Rules of the Trip:
You will be required to sell Tie-dyed T-shirts for gas and food money. There is no map on the bus and he WILL get lost. Stuff Happens! (And you know what I mean!) If the bus blows up, he has a tent. You must provide your own bail money. (Please see rule 3) He will provide "the most craziest vacation you will never forget!" Okay, the deal is, my brother-in-law and his huge hippie bus moved into our backyard. AND WE WANT HIM OUT! Please help us by bidding on this auction! Every bid moves him one step farther out of our yard!

Boston Trip Part One

Wednesday night my husband and I and four of our friends launched off to Boston! I had no idea that Missouri had so many adult video stores. I woke up somewhere around the Indiana/Ohio border. Just in time to stop at Bob Evans Restaurant for crepes! I took over driving from about one hundred miles west of Columbus to 32 miles west of Eerie, Pennsylvania. Although I didn't get to take pictures I did get to see Lake Eerie. Just Ontario and Huron left to see! It started to get a little rough by the time we stopped at McDonald's for dinner. I think we were all ready for a stationary nap. I woke up in Buffalo, and felt great! I felt so great that I think I started to worry one of my friends for she repeatedly told me that 'Drugs are bad.' Thirty hours later...we were in Boston!!! And I finally got to see the ocean!

I was quite excited. With my shoes off and my husband's hand in mine, we walked along the coast. Little kids were busy making sand castle's. I think there were even scouts in the water working on a badge.

It was the perfect time.

I could barely contain my excitement. Luckily, Glenn was good enough to just take it.

After a wonderful dinner at Bob's Crab Shack, we headed off to the Dragon Crest event. At which I proceeded to take some beautiful black and white pictures of my friends in their costumes. Now, if only I could find someone to put those pictures onto cd for me, since it seems to be the one thing that Wal-mart does not do.

This is my husband playing his Dragon Crest character, Click! Isn't he cute? If I get permission, then I will post more pics of everyone. There are still at least two rolls to develop.

Us after a long day of Dragoncrest.
Little did we know that in a couple of days we would go on a whirlwind tour of Boston! It was amazing!!!

Anything Can Happen On Halloween...

In case you weren't in the know, Halloween is my superestfavoritestmostspecialist holiday!!! I've loved it ever since I was little. I don't know if it was the sugar high, the fun-loving spirit everyone got in, or for once a year, that everyone gets open-minded and allows a bit of magic into their lives.

Halloween is on a Monday this year, leaving lots of opportunity to have fun! I have already promised co-workers to show up in a DC outfit. Either my elf or cat, depending on how much of an elaborate costume I can put together. Glenn said he might even stop by in his full armor, I guess as the zombie of Drimace? ;)

IDEAS FOR HALLOWEEN:

*Walk through a cemetary and take pictures (especially in b/w)
*Have a pot luck of food in the colors of: black, orange, purple and green.
*Group costume party (which is kinda weird considering that we all dress up once a month)
*Maybe a role-reversal costume party, where we each either dress up as each other's characters or just 'role reversal' in general. Hm...imagining one of my male friends in a dres...could be quite terrifying!!!
*MUSIC!!! I need to splurge and gather up some good music. (Anyone remember Tim Curry from THE WORST WITCH?)
*MOVIES!!! I must dig up all of my favorite Halloween movies! This might include a visit to my parents to dig through old VHS tapes. Might need to get those copied to dvd (my PIRATES OF PENZANCE has already snapped once).

Any suggestions? Old Halloween memories you wish to share?

Weekend Burn

Glenn went off to DC Friday night, and never went to sleep. Fun was had by all.
Went off to visit my parents and relatives from England. I still can't believe that was only one afternoon! We had a blast! (Glenn slept.) I even got sunburn from the pool. And FOOD! MY GOD THERE WAS FOOD! Like, four kinds of desserts, and there was lasanga and sausages and brisket!!! We watched Lance "win". We watched the Cubs win o.O And I was even able to take pictures!!! I loaned my mom the latest three books from the Harry Potter series. Hopefully my dad won't sneak a peak at the ending of the 6th book and tell her what happened. I still have no idea why that was so traumatic. The fourth book was SCARY at the end. And the fifth book made me feel like an emotionally unstable teenage boy...although I have a feeling that I'm not too far off.
Catch-up time went too fast, and now I really want to go to England and just see. And eat strawberry & cream and Rolling Garos. But alas!
We got back to Huntsville to pick up the truck. By that time I had developed a nice little migraine, fortunately it went away before it got too bad. Mexican food is good too. People are silly. Although, I realize now just how spacy I was. And still am apparently. There was just so much visiting and catching up with people, and just under 36 hours...now that I think about it. Holy crap.
And then there was the laundry.
