What the ?

My hands smell sick.

Pain and Meaning

Has your eye ever hurt so bad that you think you could make the pain go away by hurting it more. Like, popping it out with a screwdriver? or salad spoons? Maybe I could have my sinuses lined with titanium. That would be cool. Snot of Steel! Dun dun dun....

Game of the Day

I've heard the expression "It's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission." People have said it to me when they try to get me to do something I clearly don't want to do, and I have also had people repeatedly ask for forgiveness, and/or repeatedly do something even though they know that I don't like it. So from now on, "It's easier to ask for permission than it is for forgiveness because I can hold a grudge for a very long time." The end.

News to Me, News to Them?

I don't consider Canada and the US to be that far apart in terms of culture. Except that the US has a need for Ritalin, whereas Canada is good just drinking beer. So then, can I ask a silly question? Why is it when I flip the Google News front page between US Top Stories and Canadian Top Stories, they are extremely different. And I'm not talking about local news either. I've gotten used to looking for US news from many different sources to get the "whole story"; however, why is it that two countries so close, are so different in terms of the information that they recieve. Is Canada Blue and the US Red? Will we ever be purple?

Talk About A Miracle! - Thai fishermen catch world's largest freshwater fish By Suthep Kritsanavarin, AP : "BANGKOK, Thailand This big one did not get away. Thai fishermen netted a 646-pound catfish believed to have been the world's largest freshwater fish ever caught in Thailand, a researcher said Thursday. Thai fishermen pose with their catch, the heaviest on record in Thailand. The nearly 9-foot-long Mekong giant catfish was landed May 1 by villagers in Chiang Khong, a remote district in northern Thailand, and weighed by Thai fisheries department officials, said Zeb Hogan, who leads an international project to locate and study the world's largest freshwater fish species. Someone always has to play the Nazi card. Is it their conscience or their loyalty to their religious leaders that they are calling upon? Spain Legalizes Same-Sex Marriage - New York Times: "Shortly after the preliminary vote in April, the archbishop of Barcelona, Cardinal Ricard Maria Carlos Gordo , compared government workers opposing the law but agreeing to carry it out to the Nazis at Auschwitz, who 'believed that they had to obey the laws of the Nazi government before their own conscience.'"

Why I love him...

...after typing out all of that non-sense about War of the Worlds, my hand slipped, hit the keyboard, highlighted and erased EVERYTHING. I told him. He advised that I hit CTRL + Z. It brought everything back. I love him. More so if it had been a term paper. Oh, and at the beginning of War of the Worlds, I so wanted to see someone run by w/ an "I'm Blogging This" t-shirt. Yes VJ, I thought of you. And my blog.

SPOILER War of the Worlds SPOILER

*******WARNING! WAR OF THE WORLDS SPOILER!!!! *********** I giggled when Tim Robbins showed his face. I almost expected him to go on a rant about the environment. When I saw the red veins, I was reminded of a sci fi episode where this astronaut was stranded on a new planet w/ his monkey. There was this red vine growing all over that grew little red sausages. You could prepare them anyway except by boiling them. If you did that and ate them, you would pass out. Why was everyone in Boston clean? Why weren't their houses even tarnished? How come the boy was still dirty? Did they run out of handiwipes? When Tom Cruise had to sing to his daughter, I wanted to shout out: Sing that song that you and the other hotshots sang to that chick in that bar! Also, did anyone else notice that they used the farm from the original movie? Same broken fence and creek. Yet, I could not find a picture of it on Google. Dammit. They did some of the same lighting effects which was nice. And why did his character always have to look? It's like he thought it was fun, not a care in the world for his kids until he saw the one guy walk by carrying the little girl. Yes to Spongebob. No to Sailor Moon. Why do aliens always seem to attack Eastern Europe. I know it's Steven Spielberg. But...did he really have to use the E.T. logo at the end? We just watched an hour and a half of E.T. kicking our asses. Still surprised that the army guys didn't just open fire at the one dying alien in the ship. The End.

War in Burma

This is absolutely disgusting. How come we aren't doing anything about it? Child's view of Burma's civil war | "Origins of the guerrilla war The civil war in eastern Burma began in 1948 as a Karen war of independence. In 1988, after a violent pro-democracy uprising, thousands of students from across Burma joined the renowned Karen fighters in the hopes of taking down the Burmese regime. Now the Karen say they are fighting for 'freedom and democracy,' not just for their people, but for the whole of Burma. But the struggle has devolved into a war of self-preservation for the Karen, fought guerrilla-style in the thick jungles. Every month reports trickle out of Burmese troops descending on tribal Karen villages. According to Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, Burmese soldiers burn down schools and churches, publicly rape women, and force men into wooden stocks or shoot them on sight. For years, children from the region have been fleeing east toward the relative safety of Thailand."

Tribal Stars

My horoscope for this week. it speaks of tribes. Your meditation for the week comes from Friedrich Nietzsche. 'The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe,' he wrote. 'If you try it, you will often be lonely, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.' This is an ideal time for you to put this prescription into action, Pisces, because during the current grace period you have the power to own more of yourself than ever before--and without getting lonely or scared.

The Grail Exists

I never thought I'd be so happy as when it's golden light shone upon me! Discover the grail for yourself!

Extreme Pleasantries

I ordered my food. Fries! Quesadillas! And when I said, Thankyouverymuch. I heard as a reply, Yourewelcomeverymuch! Teehee! People are good!

Weekend Forecast

I will get into a water fight. But I have distance on everyone because I have something they do not. A water balloon slingshot. It might be a good idea to wear a bathing suit. As well as bring changes of clothing. My husband has taken extra days off and will be in a good mood because of it. Good us time ahead. I'm dehydrated. And trying to find something to eat for lunch. Where to?

Smelly Dogs

My feet are stinky. I should start keeping my shoes on more. Maybe clean them. Ooh or get a pedicure.

Web site of the Day

Addicted to blogging? Surf aimlessly thru the net looking for other like you? Wish that your blogging could make a difference? Here is your change: Blogathon!!!!. Go here for the rules of the thon. Did I mention that they also have forums? Here is a bit of a history lesson: In it's first year, Blogathon was held on July 28th and a goal was set of raising $10,000 for different charities. With 101 participants blogging for organizations like RAINN, Save the Tigers and the Human Rights Campaign, together they just doubled the goal, ending the event with an astounding $20,099 having been raised. Users visited each other on the mandatory webring and contributed buttons to a button gallery on the website. It was in this year that Cat first started what later came to be known as Hot Spots, special group or themed projects which would take place during the event (it was called a "Viewer's Guide" in the first year); it was also the first year we were offered forum space by James at Nine2000 - we would keep forums there for the following two years. With all of the donor information being updated by Cat and Cat alone the first year of the event and knowing it would grow, she made the decision to expand the team and have a more automated system when the 'thon (as it is popularly referred to) returned the next year. On July 27th, 212 participants came together to raise $58,446 for charities. Truly a year of growth for the 'thon, it was also during this year that the webcam portal was added, the term "Hot Spot" came to be used for themed events during the Blogathon, and awards were first given out. Among the award categories were "Most Tired (but still made it!)" and "Best Undefinable Project", with prizes including free schwag at the Cafepress store and blog-related books (among other things). Last but not least, this was the first year a Blogathon chatroom was available. In the third year of Blogathon (held in 2003 on July 30th), 401 bloggers came together to raise a whopping $102,534 for charities. In its third year Blogathon got tons of press (from as far away as Australia - see the FAQ for more info) and had gone multi-lingual with the addition of German translations of some parts of the site, courtesy Elke of Elkit. Monitors were added as a way of ensuring that everyone on the ring was participating, and were divided into two groups ("The Yellow Darts" and "They Might Be Monitors"). 2003 was also marked by The Fiction Project, put on by members of the Zefrank community.

Good Times

Yay! Good times were had. Saw friends tonight. Stayed out talking past bedtime. For me, because I am lame. Joy bought me soap, that I wanted to eat. I left it in my car for an hour, and now my car smells of that soap and I WANT TO EAT MY CAR! And I also went out on an unexpected date! It was great! Even though it was with a sixteen year old girl. It was still nifty! Especially since we have the same phone. Meanwhile, I also got some frozen custard for me and my husband. Yay for frozen treats!!! I just realized that gizmo's wheel makes noise when he is in it. How cute is that?

Because it is Friday, everyone should go home and experiment w/ making a chocolate dessert. I saw a recipe for a mixture of crumbled up chocolate fudge cake w/ chocolate pudding and whipped cream. Or, you could take a pecan pie, crumble it up, mix in cool whip, add some kind of chocolate. Lately, all I've been wanting is a chocolate milk shake. I think I've had two this week. I'm not sure do to the Midol. So, to overload you with chocolate goodness, here was the result I got after Googling for "all things chocolate": Chocolate Recipes, Chocolate Trivia, Tips on Cooking with Chocolate - All Things Chocolate

A man!!!! One of my fondest memories when I was younger was watching The Pirates of Penzance. And if I felt like it, right after I would watch The Pirate Movie with Kristy McNichol. Kevin Kline ROCKS! as the pirate king in PoP!!! I still know all of the lyrics. In fact, a friend of mine made me a cd of most of the songs. I can't find the soundtrack anywhere, although I hear that they made a record of it. Yes, I still have a record player. How else could I listen to the Thoroughly Modern Millie soundtrack? Although it is currently in storage. Speaking of which, at work lately anytime I'm in the elevator by myself I am compeled to dance in it and tend to think that it won't work unless I do. I did manage to get most of the songs from the Pirate Movie off of Napster before you had to pay. Oye. Now I really want to burst into song!!!

NARAL Pro-Choice America

NARAL Pro-Choice America: "It's no joke! Thanks to 'Professor' Bush, accurate sex-ed is being replaced by 'abstinence-only' programs in our schools. Why is this such a problem for America's teens? These programs force teachers and schools to lie, deceive, and censor information from students. Teachers can't talk about birth control as a way to prevent pregnancy or STDs, and these programs include false and misleading information like the statements above. Teaching abstinence is good. But teens also need to learn the truth when it comes to using birth control and avoiding STDs. Worst of all, there is no proof that abstinence-only programs work. In fact, recent studies show that young people are less likely to use condoms when they do have sex for the first time because they don't think they will work. Don't stand for 'abstinence-only' programs: Fight back today! Sen. Frank Lautenberg's Responsible Education About Life (REAL) Act is an alternative to 'abstinence-only' programs and would give students REAL answers by establishing the first-ever federal sex-education program. The REAL Act would support programs that teach both abstinence AND contraception, and that are proven to reduce unintended pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases among teens. We need your help to pass it -- take action here, and then get your friends involved here! If you don't speak up today, we'll have a nation of young people who don't know the difference between Trojan condoms and the Trojan horse."

Speaking of Buffy...I challenge you to list empowered women role models. Real or fiction. Movie or literature. Politics or infamous. However, it cannot be someone you know personally. It has to be someone you can provide a link. So, quick list: 1. Name an empowered woman 2. Include a link 3. Describe why she is empowered and why she is a good role model. Why am I doing this? Because they are hard to find. Don't believe me? Then why did the current 100 Greatest Americans include so few women?

Creepy Alice

Sarah Michelle Gellar Visits 'Wonderland' - Movie News - Empire Movies: "The movie is based on the Electronic Arts video game American McGee's Alice which is based on Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland novels. Gellar would a disturbed young Alice who, after her parents are killed in a fire, returns to Wonderland to confront the wicked Queen of Hearts. Along the way, she encounters looking glasses, mysterious potions, nonsensical tea parties and talking animals." Wheeeeeeeeeee! If that won't encourage me to finish playing the game, then I don't know what will! Yipeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Quote of the Day

Just postin' it as it happens: "oye...i've posted way too much! i also realized that i surf so much that i get a little seasick. hehe." Hi. Ima Dork here.

100 Things

Haven't I already done this? Oh well, here is 100 Things about me. Just because I am in a very giving mood today. 1. I can touch my tongue to my nose. 2. I have pierced ears. 3. Most birthdays in my family are on holidays. 4. I am an only child. 5. Therefore quite selfish and jealous. 6. Yes, I crave attention too. 7. But that doesn’t mean I don’t give back. 8. I have done over 100 hours of volunteer work. 9. Yes, I let stuff get to my head. 10. A friend told me that with me, everything is either “feast or famine.” 11. I tend to agree. 12. The middle path seems to elude me. 13. However I hope to start doing yoga soon. 14. If anything, then it will help my posture. 15. I need to eat better. 16. But it’s really hard when I crave Italian and Mexican food at all hours of the day. 17. “Are you hungry?” Is a question that you never have to ask me. 18. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is the best tv show ever. 19. Northern Exposure, Charmed, Family Guy, Joan of Arcadia, and My So-Called life are good too. 20. I am a role-player. 21. Though not very good. 22. I tend to let my emotions and the emotions of others get the better of me. 23. Sometimes I wonder if I am an empath. 24. I know that I have had dreams before of the future. 25. I also have feelings about places. Like, I know that certain places will be a part of my future someday. 26. I look forward to turning 27. 27. This is age I am now. 28. I cannot wait to buy a house. 29. I’m a bit nervous about having kids. 30. I HATE IT WHENEVER PEOPLE ASK ME IF I AM PREGNANT. 31. Mostly because the people that ask, aren’t asking so much as assuming with an accusatory manner. 32. Hoping to catch me in some big secret. 33. The biggest part that I disliked about getting married was the assumption of “womanly roles.” 34. Culture can suck at times. 35. But at other times, it can bring you wonderful things like Rocky Horror Picture Show. 36. My favorite film of all time is Jaws. 37. Which doesn’t fit in the genre of my other favorite films. 38. That would be musicals. 39. One day soon I hope to get a Jetta. 40. And it shall be named after my favorite animal. 41. Turtle. 42. People call me cute. 43. Because I am not that evil. 44. My friends consider themselves @$$holes. 45. But if they were, then I wouldn’t be their friend. 46. Sarah McLachlan and Tori Amos kick ass. 47. They should be super heroes. 48. I should write a fanfic about that. 49. I got addicted to a couple of Gundam Wing fanfics. 50. I started a new job recently. 51. And I love it. 52. I also love tiramisu. 53. It is the best dessert ever. 54. The first meal my husband made for me was shrimp and basil pasta. 55. It would go great with tiramisu. 56. He claims that the wine in the sauce was what made me fall in love with him. 57. Little did he know I knew I loved him the first time I saw him. 58. However, it took me a long time to tell him I loved him. 59. I was afraid of rushing into things. 60. I did that a lot. 61. Since I’ve been with my husband, I have slowed down. 62. A LOT!!!! 63. Surprises make me happy. 64. Although I don’t like them at first. 65. I am picky. 66. It comes from being an only child. 67. But I guess you knew that. 68. I am addicted to sugar. 69. But I think I kicked it. 70. Some time ago, I had a few Pepsi’s and I was literally shaking. 71. That made me happy. 72. It’s a great confidence booster knowing that you can change for the better. 73. I have been through a lot of changes the last ten years. 74. I think it’s the change of environment. 75. Moving to the country changed me for the better. 76. Cities are nice to visit. 77. I want to see the ocean. 78. My husband wanted to take me to see the ocean for our honeymoon. 79. We have been married for one year, and have not been able to go on a honeymoon. 80. Alone. 81. Hopefully next year that will change. 82. I’m really happy that we had a small wedding. 83. I highly recommend listening to that little voice inside your head more. 84. You’ll be more individualistic if you do. 85. And less stressed. 86. I wish people were more spiritual than religious. 87. I believe that we will advance more technology-wise if we are more spiritually advanced. 88. I get sleepy on sun-shiney days. 89. On rainy days, I feel that you should either have the Goonies or Labyrinth on the tv. 90. It all depends on when the rain starts. 91. Goonies for the morning. Labyrinth for seven o’clock at night. 92. I love animals. 93. Sometimes I feel I am better with them than I am with people. 94. I have no idea what I should go back to school for. 95. Or if I should even do it. 96. I have degrees. 97. I want to develop more craft and trade skills. 98. I like to keep busy. 99. But it hurts my hands. 100. I want people to say of me that I was good with my hands. 2.

Story Time

Story, just because I remembered it and someone mentioned bonfires: ...a friend of mine kept trying to get the wet wood for a bonfire going. kept pouring gasoline on it. the gasoline went straight down. soaked in the grass. so, the 5th time that he tried to light it to keep it going, it caught on the grass. It was the coolest 10 foot radius fire ball i've ever seen. it was also the first time that day he didn't tell us all to move away from the fire. thankfully, only one person got a little singed.

Mmmmmm...the week has officially started. As of last night. Yay!!!
I believe tonight G and I will be going out to dinner. And I have a dress all picked out. It was actually my 'spare' wedding dress. A chinese wedding dress that I found in Eureka Springs. WITH A DISCOUNT!!! Actually, it was one of the first times that the sales lady said, I'm going to give you another discount just b/c it fits so well, you must have it!!! Yay.'s been over a year since I bought it. Wow. And yet, I cannot think of a better occasion to wear it!
Oh yeah, and tonight we will take a bite each out of the cake in the freezer that has been taking up precious space. Hey! I could fit a entire pint of Chocolate Chocolate Chip ice cream in there! Oh well...last night I cleaned. I even cleaned the office! I can now shut the closet door in the office, it is amazing!!! Maybe I'll even get to sew sometime this week! Wheeeeee!!!

So, last weekend was Dragon Crest. And it was HOTT!!! I did remember to bring a cd player and my Buffy soundtrack. I actually listened to it all the way thru twice and sang it out loud for everyone to hear. Before noon. When most had stayed up til dawn fighting. I even sang and dance while practising on the vile balance beams. For about three events in a row I seemed to die while going on the balance beams. This time, I didn't have to. Yay!

And now this weekend...I believe I am going to see a friend of a friend's band Friday night. Saturday is a friend's wedding reception (she got married in Hawaii a week ago). And then later that night is a friend's birthday party. Sunday? Hmm...possibly sleep or possibly slip up to a certain restaurant. I have no idea. I do know however that my husband requested "us time" this week. Yay for us time!!! However, I would like to point out to the person that knocked on our door last night around 9pm, KNOCK IT OFF!!! No more of that for the rest of the week? Okay? You spoil the mood. Who was that anyway? You didn't even stick around when we answered it? What's up with that, yo? Hopefully tonight we will be able to hide away. Mmmmm...a yummy dinner. But where? I'm holding out for italian. As I told my husband, I *must have* tiramisu at some point this week!

Bad Mood Col

All I want to do is eat yummy hot pizza on the couch, watch buffy, then eat ice cream with my husband while we watch some action flick. Is that too much too ask? Guess so. Tuesday is our one-year anniversary. We are going to try and go out to eat next weekend. So far both nights are taken, so I'm hoping for lunch. Wish me luck. This weekend I'm supposed to stay up all night both Friday and Saturday nights. Yes, I have worked all day today, got woken up last night from the storm. No what the best part of all this is? Next week is "the" week. I stocked up on meds last if I can just get more chocolate on Monday, i should be fine. The weird part is, it will mean that I have been at my job for about a month. When did that happen? Can I get an "oy ve!"

Cute Like That

Last night my husband tried to point out an actor that he thought was Xander in a commercial. It wasn't him. But it sure was cute. And because it was so late and Xander was mentioned, I ended up singing myself to sleep by singing the entire "Once More With Feeling" soundtrack in my head. Still don't know where the onions came from.

It Must Have Been the Onions

So, last night I'm sure that I was dreaming something about Buffy or defending something. All I know is that it was completely unrelated to the storm outside, but when the lightning struck and the thunder woke my husband and I up at 4am, my very first thought was: the onion truck must have dumped over. The Huffington Post | Latest News

The Huffington Post Latest News: "ABC corporate executives at the network's highest levels ordered three interviews with Robert Kennedy Jr. pulled from ABC News programming. The interviews all centered around Mr. Kennedy's investigation of thimerosal, a mercury based preservative, used in vaccines given to children and believed to be responsible for increasing cases of neurological diseases including autism." Above is the link to an article from the Huffington post. Apparently it includes Senate Majority Leader and the CDC and FDA. You can look at the full article in the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone.

Thanks to Zoe, I am a Natural

Google Image Result for I have played SSX Tricky for two nights in a row. Already I am up to trick chapter 4 and am a natural and have unlocked the first racing board. Didn't realize it was a racing board until I couldn't really do tricks on it. I still love some of the trick names though. Melancholy Rodeo Fakie. Heh. Either way, Zoe is still my favorite. I even unlocked the little Japanese fangirl looking character, Keori, and still have not played her. Unlocked Marisol too. Still don't like Elise. Mac is cool. I can do almost an entire run with "Tricky" playing, I feel accomplished.

For Zach This is one of the most disturbing things I've read in a long time. Found it via Sven. Zach is a teenager that just told his parents that he is gay. They immediately enrolled him in a religious camp that will straighten him out. In the link above, Zach lists the rules from camp 'Refuge' that he wasn't supposed to see.

I just realized I really enjoy listening to Pearl Jam. Might be good music to listen to while reading zen. Currently: Yellow Ledbetter.

Ack!!! I have no idea when my blog anniversary is, other than the end of July. Help!

Little Friends

A co-workers daughter was in the office, excuse me, lobby this morning. She asked why I had stuffed animals under my monitor. "Because they keep me company at work." "But they can't talk sitting there." ^.^

What Have I Done?

I have no idea what I did, but it obviously involved my back. As of Sunday morning the small of my back was in pain and made it hard for me to move. Now, I am a "jerker." For example if I am startled or tickled, I jerk. To jerk, is to writhe in pain for two minutes afterward!!! No wiggling for me. At least, in that area. WTF? The only thing that I can think I did was lie on my tummy for about half an hour late Saturday night/Sunday morning while I tried to stay awake during the Munchkin game. I was so close to winning that game. But, as with all Munchkin games, the leader must DIE!!! MUAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHH!!! One day I shall win Munchkin. And it might not happen until I finally get my own game. Grrr. Oh, the best part was when my husband drew the card that Randy made from Something Positive. I was proud of him for running away. Otherwise, fun was had by all, although there really was no drinking. Joy had a drink. Yeah...I guess next time we might do the thing where we soak a watermelon overnight in everclear. That should rock our socks off. Sunday I had fun playing Trivial Pursuit and singing karaoke against Evil Emily. I couldn't believe we tied in the end. Although the best part by far was the cheat code for the zombie audience. Imagine singing "Unchained Melody" to a crowd of army-shirt-and-cowboy-hat-wearing-zombies chanting "Brains! Brains!" while you sing. Yeah, I couldn't keep a straight face either. I also got to see Sue and Emily. Oh!!! and I finally got to meet the third sister.... She was a lot nicer than what everyone had been telling me. My husband also sprained his foot this weekend working outside. Just an extra excuse to cuddle ;)

I had enchiladas. And they were good. I shall have an enchilada for lunch. That is all.

Welcome to my sanctuary. It has been a nice day so far, filled with sprinkles of sugar. This weekend will be filled with waxing of the hands, music drifting throughout the rooms as clothes are cleaned and put away. Puffs of cleaner floating up from the floor as the vaccuum sucks up any missed pieces of popcorn. I will watch more of the third season of Buffy. What happens when Willow & Xander are caught? Will Spike get a life of his own and stop being so mooney over Dru? I still need to plan something for my one year anniversary this month. Two possible themes are recommended: paper or clocks. We need a new alarm clock. And I am still trying to find that autographed copy of the first Wheel of Time series book. Oye.
Either way, a sweet weekend will be had. Even if we must od on sugar. Saturday night will be an attempt at getting my husband drunk w/ a friend of ours. His metabolism is so fast, I fear the only was we will be able to do it is by making him take shots of everclear. Yay!

As I was telling Jen earlier, I was quite proud of Paris for overcoming his pride. Most of his contemporaries died from it. Then she mentioned, oh yes, we're proud of him. Oye!

Strange Quacks: News

Two mornings in a row I have been greeted by ducks directly outside of my front door. It's nice being escorted to your car by men with bills. Sunday I had a scare when my mom told me about my father. On Wednesday he went down to his boat. Lowered it into the water, walked around to get in, slipped and fell into the water, and rolled under neath the boat. No one saw him. Luckily he was conscious, pulled himself out of the water, and only got a huge lump on his calf. Last night my husband and I fell asleep watching ALIEN. It's a great movie, but it's hard keeping the peepers open when we've both had a long week and the bed is so nice and comfy. We woke up around 10:30. I thought everything was fine until I started to move around. Next thing I know, I break out in a sweat and my stomach is upset. First thing I think about is food poisoning. I get up to turn the air conditioning on and realize I'm dizzy. My husband convinced me to take a shower to cool off, I only made it to the couch where I collapsed and made a nice pool of sweat in the outline of a Col. After ten minutes I manage to get up and sit under cool water. After which I had a monster craving for ice cream. Lucky for me there were still two tubs. By midnight I was asleep. Today I am dressing Italian. Red suede skirt. White hippie type top. I accesorize well w/ my carpal tunnel gloves. Not so random link: Manticore Zoo.

Happy Friends!

This morning there was a turtle walking down the median of the road. Smack dab between the two yellow lines. I was all: Hello happy turtle friend! How are you? I'm a turtle and turtles walk in the road. Walking walking walking. So smartly down the middle of the road. Then I realized. I miss my pets. :(

Someone recently asked me about my faith. What is it? What was it? Where is it now? All I can say is this: Ever since I was little, I can remember two constant thoughts that I had about God. The first was that God exists. And the second was something of a cave theory. That, if I (or anyone) were born and raised in a cave, all by themselves. Would they be sent to hell because they were not worshipping the "right" God? Answer: no. Therefore, there is no true religion. Those are two things that I have always felt and I don't see them changing any time soon.

That, and spandex should not be worn by just anyone.

Good Omens

Have you wondered why every cassette that you have left in your car for over two weeks turns into Best of Queen? Why old book shops never catch fire? or what God's Plan is about? Good Omens is a wonderful novel by Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett. This is the first book that I have ever read by the duo (together and separate). I am now highly motivated to listen to Queen, oh, and get the rest of their books. Part of the cast includes "Full chorus of Tibetans, Aliens, Americans, Atlanteans and other rare and strange Creatures of the Last Days."
