Heavy Head and Shoulders

  • I have become involved with the horrible habit of thinking.
  • Making a house a home.
  • Hoping it truly was an imaginary bug my cat was chasing in the litter box last night.
  • Shortened dark wool pants and flaming white socks over black buckle shoes just don't cut it.
  • Thinking about writing.
  • Unless it is a favorite, is it really necessary to keep a book once read?
  • Matching, dust, organization, neatness, usefullness, and unfinished projects: my continuous obsessions.
  • Finding the right costume that suits me.
  • Advancement and becoming more.
  • Making the most of time and finding the energy to do so.
  • To cap it all off I'm deliberating giving up sugar.

Sometimes I am in too much of a rush. Sometimes I drink a Cherry Coke without really eating anything to absorb all of the sugar that goes pounding thru my veins. When this happens, I believe my alter-egos attempt to take over. It's most prevalent when I sign my e-mails.

Powders, pills, syringe?

Oh yes, today will be a good day. Despite the wonderful rain last night, the heat will rise again today. With all of the breeziness, damn allergens still get stuck up my nose and come out in an explosive erruption when I sneeze. I'm hungry. The possibility of me going to Wal-mart within the next 24hrs is increasing. My chocolate supply at home is running out. A vital software isn't working. But it will all be okay. Why? Because a quote from my favorite blogger is on Google.
People often write me and ask how I keep my wood floors so clean when I live with a child and a dog, and my answer is that I use a technique called Suffering From a Mental Illness. ~Heather Armstrong

Plus, fire? Pretty.

Just a little something for this weekend. I've never been much into fireworks, but I always loved listening to the 1812 overture, especially whenever they went nuts at the end with the cannons. I'm sure I'll watch something like this on tv tomorrow. BTW, did you know that you could get an instant sore throat from eating too-sweet brownies? Me neither. Buffy's evil thoughts.

The Art of the Ghetto Mocha

It has come to my attention that some of my readers are unaware about the fine intricacies of the Ghetto Mocha. I personally discovered this last winter when my budget did not allow for a Pumpkin Mocha every day. Ingredients: One packet of instant hot chocolate One mug of hot water Sprinkles from instant coffee. Make the hot chocolate as it states on the packet. When done, add in a few sprinkles of instant coffee from your favorite brand. Simple enough right? But remember, 'Ghetto Mocha' is my invention - just not the recipe.

Because he is one hunka hunka burnin' love. Image hosting by Photobucket And a Keanu Reeves look-a-like...see? He's even adorable when he sleeps....

...and...for other reasons... Image hosting by Photobucket And because he looks really really adorable with a topknot.

Mostly because he lets me love him in my own little way. Image hosting by Photobucket

Free Sex!

Below is a recipe from my mother-in-law. The original name is Sex in a Pan. The name Preacher Pie came about because at one point it was brought to a church gathering. This is my gift to you. Everyone should have great sex.

Sex in a Pan / Preacher Pie

1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup flour
1 stick butter or margarine (melted)
8 oz. cream cheese (softened)
1 cup powdered sugar
2 - 8 oz. tubs of cool whip
1 small box of instant chocolate pudding
1 small box of instant vanilla pudding
3 cups milk
1 hershey's chocolate candy bar (or other candy/powder for topping)

Blend pecans, walnuts, flour, butter. Press in 9x13" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar. Fold in 1 tub of cool whip. Pour over crust. Mix chocolate pudding with 1.5 cups of milk. Pour on top of mixture. Mix vanilla pudding with 1.5 cups of milk. Pour on top of chocolate pudding. Chill. Pat last tub of cool whip on top of vanilla pudding. Grate chocolate candy bar and sprinkle on top.

I'm Just a Kid and Even I Know that's Wrong.

It's freezing outside! The kind of cold that makes you think you've walked into a gallon of ice cream!

So what possessed me to not bring my comfy sweater in to work today?! Oye! While reading Profgrrrl this morning, I saw her link to ratemyprofessors.com It's hilarious! I checked out a couple, and students seemed to rate more than just the classes. I was tempted to comment on a friend of mine ;)

For those of you that cannot live without some Vanilla Coke, stock up while you can because as of January 2006, they are not going to sell it...well, at least not for a few years. They are going to start marketing their Black Cherry Vanilla Coke line. I haven't really drank Coke in years the way that I used to (read as: when I was still in grammar school I would come home and drink at least six cans a night). But this...just sounds good. Guess I just can't pass up a cherry.

Excuses time. I meant to play the Sims last night, but something happened when I got home that made me go weak in the knees. Quite irresistable actually. As soon as I walked in, before I had a chance to take off my coat and put my keys down, my husband came into the room and said the magic words:

I'm logging off soon. Let's have us time tonight.

How could I resist?

Who's a Little Fear Demon?

This Halloween weekend was a bit of a whirlwind, and yet, incredibly relaxing. Glenn and I spent most of Saturday in the computer room vegging. Friday night I worked on making buttons. Most of which still have yet to be installed. I also made some more Sims characters. Yes Ikey, you and David share a house. I also made an elderly couple. At one point the wife, Nymphadora, was making breakfast when the entire kitchen caught fire. She died. But, I brought her back to life.... She is currently learning how to cook. A lot. Image hosted by Photobucket.com Sunday I carved a pumpkin and made some colorful cupcakes for the party that afternoon. It was weird, but only ten people showed up. Oh well, more food and sugar for us!!! We also played some Apples 2 Apples. Image hosted by Photobucket.com I had forgotten how gooey the innards of pumpkins are. I put the seeds in the refridgerator so that I can cook them tonight. Hopefully they will taste wonderful! I also have cupcakes leftover, a HUGE BOWL OF CANDY and the best Halloween candy ever. When I emptied the bag of candy into my purple Halloween bowl, a plume of sugar wafted up to my nose. It was heavenly! Image hosted by Photobucket.com Image hosted by Photobucket.com
