Video Day

We borrowed Katamari Damacy from a friend and had to get a copy for ourselves. This is a video of Colleen on Katamari Damacy.

An actual video clip from the game.

Kitten toygers playing. Watching this video makes me remember Howl and Sophie playing last night. Howl was in a pouncing mood. At one point, Sophie new that he was behind her down the hall way, when she felt him make his leap at her, she crunched down and Howl leap frogged right over her.

"It's a Sin" by the Pet Shop Boys with video clips from the series Neon Genesis Evangelion. I listened to this song repeatedly about seven years ago.

When sperm whales attack.

Llama song.

Imagine if you left your home. Would you go to Burma? Would you sit among the natives as they gathered for a sing along? What song do you imagine them singing?

The Earth is doomed!

These Palaeontologists have a sense of humor that any Steve Jackson fan can appreciate. Anyone up for a quick game of Munchkin? (card)

Palaeontologists digging in northern Australia have found fossil evidence of several new species - including a "killer kangaroo". The flesh-eating marsupial would have lived between 10 and 20 million years ago, scientists say. The research team has also unearthed evidence of a large carnivorous bird dubbed the "demon duck of doom".

Well, personally, I kind of want to slay the dragon.

Please note: all DC info is OOG! If you take it IG, then you are a dirty metagamer. The comic below is representative to what happened this weekend in Kansas. >:) We had a great time, even if we did wake up at 4am to drive thru the OK. I do believe that I frightened a few people when my husband died, lucky for them a certain healer magically re-appeared and saved him. Although one of the best parts of the weekend was when I got to choose what kind of a pet to play as an NPC. The goblin children kept some very odd pets, although they were quite well-trained. I ended up choosing a guinea pig with butterfly wings and a rooster tail. I sat, I rolled over, I played fetch, and could still beat the crap out of people. One tribie wanted to take me home. :D I felt special. Today's quote (and Glenn's favorite) was said by Angel.

Feel Bad!!!

This weekend was a lovely carnival of erands and doodads. Like what? Like, me going to wal-mart on Saturday night! Oh the debauchery! I did see some peopel there wearing mardi gras beads though. I did get some new pictures developed, and as I consider how much film I so easily go through...I'm thinking a good digital camera and photo paper migh be the way to go. My regular film camera will be used for things like portraits and black and white film. That stuff is addictive like cadberry bunny eggs. Yesterday was fun, and I mean that in the fly-to-South-Am-and-trek-through-the-jungle-for-two-days-to-find-farmers-and-one-ex-vet-with-cyber-legs-and-a-katana-and-flub-on-throwing-your-gredade-after-him-after-you-hit-your-leader-in-the-head-with-your-katana-after-making-an-unbelievable-roll-thus-proving-that-you-are-one-in-a-thousand kind of way. Now, I shall leave you with a picture that I took while in the troll garden. And it is nothing like the movie Troll that scared the crap out of me when I was little. So there.

I am at a point where...

...I like table top gaming. It's fun. ...people lie to me and I am less aware of it than I realized. Believing what people tell all of the time is a liability. I am not sure what to do about it. I want to believe my friends. I want them to know that they don't have to lie to me. If we start talking about something you are uncomfortable with, then just ask that we stop talking. Don't lie. ...it's okay to splurge within reason. Save up. Wait. Contemplate. That way when you get something it is something that you want not something for right now. ...the idea of walking and eventually running is becoming a reality. ...I'm okay.

Because LARPers Even Scare the Fundies

A few funny gamer comics today. Maybe because it's the thirteenth. Maybe because they rolled a natural twenty during the panel concept last night. I don't know. But, they made me laugh for my pleasure. Something Positive explores sex in terms of consoles. Penny arcade is all about the dnd. Dork Tower was nice enough to explain to all of us poor gamers why we are wasting our times at American cons when they actually have cooler cons over in Europe.

Truly Is a Magical Coin

Mazes & Monsters I don't know why this movie has been on my mind lately, maybe it's because of all of the violent stereotypes that are being promoted in regards to gamers. This movie pushed the whole 'gamers are crazy and playing Dungeons & Dragons will only make you lose touch of reality'. I like the viewer's comment at the bottom of the page. I think I was too young to fully digest this movie when I saw it, but I know the caves have appeared in my dreams every so often.

To The Little Sims...

To the Little Sims, I need to contrive a new method to abstract the pictures out of my Sims game. I loaded the game six times last night. The first four times I attempted to get the pictures. That's right attempted. The game would start the process of uploading the pictures to the website where I would d/l them from, and each time the game shut down after uploading two houses. YOUR SIMS CHARACTERS ARE WORKING AGAINST ME!!! I think that while the game is off, or while I'm playing a different house, they secretly plan what they could do to jeopardize their lives being published on The Manticore. Little do they realize that I have a plan. That's right little Ikey, everyone will know that you are one of the infamous papparazzi! And who cares that you are currently unemployed little Rezzie?! Don't you want everyone to see your fabulous house? Little VJ...your exploits with your friends will be even more naughty once they get published, don't you know that? Oh yes, revenge will be mine, and it shall be sweet. Tonight! ~Colleen ( To compulsive bloggers: read this. )

What Quota?

Oh dear. This is never a good sign. Maybe this prediction is two months late? Surely this was meant for September...but that would have been regarding my friends, not my work. Oh well! I'll just swim along with it!
You'll need every single little scrap of patience you can muster to get through the next three weeks. Mercury is about to turn retrograde for the third time this year, a time that's classically marked by frustrating experiences, especially when it comes to communication and travel. In your case, it could make getting in touch with your higher-ups a bit more difficult, so start early and leave lots of information, like where you'll be and at what time.
In other news, my computer 'broke' this weekend. I have yet to find my pictures or documents that I had saved on it, but my sims games were still there. Some interesting things happened with the Sims this weekend to. Did you know that Svenny got married and they already have their first child. I think his wife is hoping for two.... Oh, and Ikey gained a new roommate, but I don't think he's going to be living in that house long. *mischieviously rubs hands together* You're just aching for it, aren't you? T.U.F.F. ;) My hand took on the shape of the mouse by the time I went to bed Sunday night, but then, I also started to make Buffy characters. Yes, yes it's horrible. I still have yet to do the vamp house with Angellus, Dru and Harm. Spike has his little shindig all set-up; Xander is in the military and Anya has yet to find a job. Tara and Willow...well...they are having relationship issues. It's Band Candy all over again in the Summer's household. And why do I feel like I didn't get any sleep, or like I drank an entire pot of coffee this morning? I woke up early, stopped by the grocery store before I went in to work too. Even had time to read before having to head in. Odd, no? Other than that, I had a fabulous weekend. Glenn and I even went to wal-mart TOGETHER! I don't know why I love that idea of us shopping together so much but I do. This weekend was spent gloriously bumming around, playing computer games, watching bits and pieces of The Wizard of Oz, Friends, and Smallville. Why is it that I wish Joey and Rachel ended up together? Oye.... I didn't read at all, but I did BEAD! It feels like forever, but I have started a project and I am very close to completing it! Go me! Currently Listening to: "Feelin Love" by Paula Cole.

Who's a Little Fear Demon?

This Halloween weekend was a bit of a whirlwind, and yet, incredibly relaxing. Glenn and I spent most of Saturday in the computer room vegging. Friday night I worked on making buttons. Most of which still have yet to be installed. I also made some more Sims characters. Yes Ikey, you and David share a house. I also made an elderly couple. At one point the wife, Nymphadora, was making breakfast when the entire kitchen caught fire. She died. But, I brought her back to life.... She is currently learning how to cook. A lot. Image hosted by Photobucket.com Sunday I carved a pumpkin and made some colorful cupcakes for the party that afternoon. It was weird, but only ten people showed up. Oh well, more food and sugar for us!!! We also played some Apples 2 Apples. Image hosted by Photobucket.com I had forgotten how gooey the innards of pumpkins are. I put the seeds in the refridgerator so that I can cook them tonight. Hopefully they will taste wonderful! I also have cupcakes leftover, a HUGE BOWL OF CANDY and the best Halloween candy ever. When I emptied the bag of candy into my purple Halloween bowl, a plume of sugar wafted up to my nose. It was heavenly! Image hosted by Photobucket.com Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Signs I Have Been LARPing for Too Long

The other day I saw that a squirrel had been run over. It must have been sitting out on the road for some time. His pelt was kinda damage, but the tail was still fluffy. My first thought was: 'I could probably get a copper for that.' Then I shook my head, and walked away.

Even Though I Didn't Watch Garden State...

Although I did watch the Grudge, and continuously throughout it I had to stop myself from saying "Death is your gift." (You should see me during the Scooby Doo movies. I giggle maniacally to myself about the 'Scooby gang' and refer to all of the characters by BTVS names. It's sad. By the end I'm typically crying and yelling out to Joss, 'Need more Buffy!' Yeah....) So, anyways...I had a nice relaxing weekend and am currently eating Cheetos. Hey check that out! My keyboard is turning orange. A trip to Wal-mart, a birthday party, a little Sims and Stronghold. Heck, I even started crocheting. I think it is a blanket. Yes, yes...a blanket. As soon as I get Corel loaded I'll be able to start working on some projects. Perhaps even preparing for NaNo. (I should give up now, I'd find much better work as a Muse or an Editor.) It's nice to be online at home ^.^ Pictures to be coming soon. That is all.

Card Game of the Week

Our new favorite pirate games! Last night Glenn and I got Pirates of the Spanish Main, Pirates of the Revolution, and Pirates of the Crimson Coast. All we did was put the little ships together but we already had so much fun that tonight I will pick up another set so that we can play. Yes, each package has rules, ships and even a mini die. Everything that one person needs to play!

The Hardest Thing to Do In this World is to Blog About It

"I need something to post about. Aaaa - aaaa - aaaaa - aaaaa"

The wine tasting last night was fabulous! Even though I got buzzed from one sip out of four wines. My friends kept teasing me that I was pregnant since my tummy was all upset. But, that was yesterday's grievances. Today is FRIDAY!!! This Friday started out with a powerout, giving us all one hour off. There is a rumor going around that a squirrel did it. Yes, one little squirrel waited to have his revenge on the town by finding that perfect cable to bite into. After taking the 50 Lightning Burst, he hobbled off to retrieve the nuts from a power supply box from last fall. Go Little Tricker!

Hopeful Thinking

Hoping beyond hope right now that my ear holes do not close up! It’s been a year for them to be okay…by 5pm we shall find out! Gods…never thought I’d be praying for the holes in my head.137176137176

I just purchased this. My first Amazon purchase! I have never read these books, and I’m hoping they help with the journey to Boston that is coming up. The movies this winter look wonderful, and actually accurate. (This comes from my knowledge of the cartoons, which I did watch.)

Last night I stopped by a local gaming store. My friends are helping expand it to include a gaming room. I'm quite proud of them. Their group has grown, and while I was there, three shoppers were being persuaded to join with fantastical tales of Exalted. I might persuade someone else I know to run a DnD game....

This weekend I get to go dancing!!! Yes, dancing! Finally!!! I've only waited about a year to go to this place. I'm so sad it's only open in the summer. It's a giant patio next to a river. Sadly, I even made it on my Sims game.

Giggling...I hear giggling...gods...only I would be haunted by evil giggles.
