So, is Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCM) the new Manic-Depressive Disorder (Bi-polar)?

I've noticed the media and entertainment trends for both in their waxing and waning phases, and wanted to know if anyone else has noticed it, or is it just my own personalities coming out to play again? Thanks.
