The Snoopy Dance?

Lucy is a biotch. Am I allowed to say that? Oye...anyway, I had to watch It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown! I just know that I would be Sally. Threatening her sweet baboo not to hold her hand, missing out on tricks or treats because she would rather spend time with her crush. And then there was WWI's flying ace.

Who's a Little Fear Demon?

This Halloween weekend was a bit of a whirlwind, and yet, incredibly relaxing. Glenn and I spent most of Saturday in the computer room vegging. Friday night I worked on making buttons. Most of which still have yet to be installed. I also made some more Sims characters. Yes Ikey, you and David share a house. I also made an elderly couple. At one point the wife, Nymphadora, was making breakfast when the entire kitchen caught fire. She died. But, I brought her back to life.... She is currently learning how to cook. A lot. Image hosted by Photobucket.com Sunday I carved a pumpkin and made some colorful cupcakes for the party that afternoon. It was weird, but only ten people showed up. Oh well, more food and sugar for us!!! We also played some Apples 2 Apples. Image hosted by Photobucket.com I had forgotten how gooey the innards of pumpkins are. I put the seeds in the refridgerator so that I can cook them tonight. Hopefully they will taste wonderful! I also have cupcakes leftover, a HUGE BOWL OF CANDY and the best Halloween candy ever. When I emptied the bag of candy into my purple Halloween bowl, a plume of sugar wafted up to my nose. It was heavenly! Image hosted by Photobucket.com Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Free Your Mind

I watched 13 going on 30 last month. I loved it because the teenage Jenna is a spaz. AND SHE DID THE DANCE TO THRILLER!!! I used to try and do that all of the time. I didn't realize that there were more like me. Maybe if I had found a group I would have fit in more. I also liked how the writer's kept everything about her true to a 13 year old. Including her fashion sense. And hair styles. Sometimes I still want to play dress up and go out in public, and wish that everyday was Halloween. I'm never brave enough, and I don't feel like my clothes are weird enough to dress that way in public. Oh bogies. I don't know where I was going with this. To make up for this post. Go here.

Will Work For Peanuts

Why is it that I want to watch ELIZABETHTOWN? I don't particularly like the title. Although Elizabeth is an awesome name. And thanks to all of the previews, I'm fairly certain I know exactly what is going to happen. So why do I still want to watch it? Not too sure. Think tonight might be a IT'S THE GREAT PUMPKIN CHARLIE BROWN night anyway. And if I get a pumpkin, I'm not tempted to carve Charlie's face on it.

A Heathen's Wednesday Night

    Work's over.
    Go to wal-mart.
Go up and down crowded isles.
Go back and forth b/c you don't have a list.
(Even though you're just buying two dinners, you still forget a lot.)
    Stand over the pumpkins.
    Lament.
    Stand in line and pay.
Wish the cashier Happy Halloween, but she doesn't hear.
(The cashier the previous night did, and she had dyed magenta highlights.)
    Pile groceries into my car.
    Drive home through traffic.
    Pile everything inside.
    Unload from bags.
    Get into comfy clothes.
    Pull hair back.
    Start boiling water.
Realize cans for spaghetti sauce are not pop tops.
Cursed electric can-opener isn't going to work for you.
Even after beloved husband threatened it the previous night.
    Stop water from boiling.
    Put shoes back on.
    Go to the other wal-mart.
Walk through parking lot during which time the only word that you notice yourself muttering is the f-word.
Realize you should probably quiet down.
Grab a manual can-opener and some toilet paper.
    Get back home.
    Make spaghetti.
    Get incredibly full.
    Play Sims.
    Watch Batman Returns.
Get cheered up by beloved husband.
    Cuddle until you fall asleep.

Because this story made my day last night:

"King Pump ruled over the icy mountain kingdom of Portugal ruthlesslybetween 1543 and 1584. Not only was his name "Pump", he was also Kingof the Pumps, the notoriously unscrupulous portugeuse mountain dwarveswho ate nothing but asparagus and jam. As a result, their economycollapsed on an almost daily basis; and it wasn't until 1567 that KingPump invented the pumpkin to stabilse the economy. King Pump hadwanted to call his creation the "pumpking", after himself, but theletter "g" had been made obsolete in the imfamous alphabet soup riotsof two years earlier, and so he had to settle for "pumpkin", which was12% shorter despite the fact that, indeed, it takes just as long tosay. The famous "pumpkin standard" became, of course, the predecessorof the gold standard shortly after the reformation when a band ofprotestant reformers discovered just exactly how pretty and shiny goldwas, to 14 decimal places, as clearly described in Mark's Gospelchapter 5 or maybe 7, and as a consequence invented globalisation.Pumpkins today are a natural source of scary faces and contributeconsistently to transatlantic bewilderment. Pumpkin pie containsneither asparagus nor jam and as a result, the pumpkingites of the 16thcentury have been largely ignored outside of urine sample analysislaboratories east of Madrid." By Jonny

Take Me Out

You know how people will always wonder what you are like when you're drunk? Well, I get sleepy. But, when I don't drink, I act drunk. And I tend to leave people wonering whether or not I have taken my medication.
Anyway, I do get high. Never from an illegal substance. Typically it's from sugar. But last night, it was a homemade mocha that did it. I shouldn't drink coffee on an empty stomach. But I did. And it was good. Then it made me spacey.
So spacey that I came up with this joke: How do you tell the difference between which garbage bag has garbage, and which one has the bottles for recycling?
Huh, give up?
You shake them! I think I actually giggled out loud.

Don't Be Surprised When I Tell You...

...that each blog I read, I consider a gem.
...that I don't have a clue about what I am going to write for NaNo this year.
...that I love the cold, blistery weather we are having.
...that I get upset when I see Christmas lights being put up, and there aren't any Halloween decorations to be seen. (Yes, even in my own home, but we are poor so BITE IT!)
...that I do love my husband's addiction to Anarchy Online. It means that he understands my addiction to the Sims.
...that I can be quite mean when I need to, but will probably cry about it as soon as you are gone.
...that for the first time ever, I coasted into a gas station today.
...that I need coaxing to read past the third book in the Chronicles of Narnia books.
...that I froze my butt off going camping this weekend.
...that I can easily devour a large pizza all by myself.

A Girl That Likes to Walk Around Her Apartment Naked Tagged Me to Do This Meme

10 years ago: October 1995, I was a sophomore in high school. Loved my English class, and wondered why it took so long for them to put me in honors. Stupid standardized testing…. I went to school, I went home. That was it. Spent my nights studying or listening to music or reading. And eating ice cream.

5 years ago: October 2005, I was starting my third semester at the University. I was in a dorm that had a fire alarm go off around 2am every Thursday morning. It got to a point where I would study and then think about going to bed, but stay because I knew the alarm would go off soon. After awhile people stopped paying attention to it. My friend and I would wait outside with a blankie and pillow. That year I also co-set-up two friends, and they ended up getting married in my living room two years later.

1 year ago: October 2004, I wasn’t too happy last Halloween. I’m not sure why though. I did play this Hallmark card all day (possibly all week) however.

Yesterday: Still working on this meme.

One Hour Ago: Sending Glenn an e-mail

5 snacks I enjoy:
1. chocolate milk
2. popcorn w/ pour over butter
3. No bake cookies
4. Flavored tea
5. Glenn

5 songs I know the words to: (Why is this one always the hardest?)
1. “Hold On” by Wilson Phillips
2. “Sweet Transvestite” by RHPS/Tim Curry
3. “Wig in a Box” by Hedwig and the Angry Inch
4. “Origin of Love” by Hedwig and the Angry Inch
5. “You are My Sunshine” by Some Southern Governor

5 things I'd do with £100 million:
1. Take care of all of our money problems, including buying a house, and setting up any kind of stock market/investing thingy.
2. Take care of my family and friends so that they don’t have to worry about their money problems any more. This includes medical bills and college funds.
3. Retire on cruise boats, and return home only for holidays. Yes, there would be lots of traveling for Glenn and I. I think some group trips would be in order.
4. Open up a store to sell stuff that I and my friends make.
5. Finally, buy up buildings around town that I love and turn them into museums, shelters, or free places of fun ( like a PlayDough or Lego mansion for kids ) and yes, definitely an artsy place for local artists only.

5 places I'd run away to:
1. Some place with an ocean
2. Some place with mountains
3. Some place with the internet
4. Some place without the internet
5. Some place with Glenn, so we can finally go on our honeymoon!

5 things I'd never wear:
1. Baby clothes
2. Snapped-elastic underwear
3. A tie
4. A mullet
5. A wedding dress, again.

5 biggest joys:
1. Finding My Soulmate.
2. Seeing the Ocean (and tasting it, and walking barefoot in it w/ Glenn next to me).
3. Seeing my Sweet Pea for the first time during a visit.
4. Being organized and feeling accomplished because of it.
5. Warm cuddles

5 favourite toys:
1. My blog
2. The Sims
3. My Camera
4. My car, where I sing the most
5. Glenn

What is cool at my place:
1. Glenn
2. Comfy couch
3. My friends like to hang out there
4. It’s in the center of everything!
5. It’s our first home

Mystic Theurge
44% Combativeness, 33% Sneakiness, 76% Intellect, 69% Spirituality
Brilliant and spiritual! You are a Mystic Theurge!
Score! You have a prestige class. A prestige class can only be taken after you’ve fulfilled certain requirements. This may mean that you’re an exceptionally talented person, but it probably doesn't.
The Mystic Theurge is a combination of a cleric and a mage. They can cast both arcane and divine spells, and are good at both, making them pretty terrifying on the battlefield. They have more raw spellpower than just about any other class.
You're both intelligent and faithful, but not violent or deceitful. I guess that makes you a pretty good person.

You know fashion inside out but you're far from being its slave. To you fashion is what you decide to wear. You've got great, if unconventional, taste and plenty of courage to put your ideas into practice, which inspires admiration; but few have guts to copycat you. I suppose it doesn't worry you because to you originality counts. You are self-confident, perhaps even arrogant, and consider a day wasted when no one gives you an interested or shocked look. Great job.

The opposite style from yours is Librarian [Tasteful Conventional Random Prissy].
