Freezing away in the office.
And thank you to VJ who bestowed upon me the title of lobbyist.
I'm still looking to see if I can have a pet down here. As of now, I have several stuffed animals and little toys. One thing I need more of: CHOCOLATE!

  1. Generally the rules of office pets are as follows.

    1. Don't ask, it's easier to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission. If you ask, you will hear, "I don't really know, so don't." If you just get one, they will say, "I don't know, so I leave the situation alone." Trust me on this one.

    2. Nothing that makes much noise, or that people might be allergic to.

    3. Must either transport well, or be able to fend for itself for two days in a row.

My suggestions, fish are nice, and a popular choice, or hermit crabs, because they are the easiest pets EVER and you can hold them, unlike fish. Small turtles and frogs can also work, depending on their care requirements. You might want to find out if the building has heat or ac on the weekends if you plan on leaving them. Often if they assume no one is there, they don't run the ac or heat, and it can get rather unpleasant for your little friends. Another reason to get hermit crabs, they transport very easily. Fish can do it, but aren't keen on it and it eventually causes stress.

Lastly, can I help pick a name?

  2. Hmm...I was considering a beta or sea monkeys.
The only thing is the animal must be able to live in a cold environment. I think it's general about 65/70 degrees in here. And my desk is right under the vent!!!

Yes, you can help pick the names.
If I have too, then they will be virtual or stuffed pets. Or plants. I do have one plant that is growing out of a jar of water that needs a name.
